Keeping up with the latest should not be a problem. Dressing up inexpensively is the new trend. A lot of products on the market are made of recycled materials. But that does not mean the quality and style is not excellent and this is a way to flaunt your green credentials!
,, chanel wallet purse,,Gather up your girlfriends and your garbage bags and get ready to walk the red carpet! The Garbage Bag Gala is coming to Greensburg. Making its debut this year in Westmoreland County, The Salvation Army's Garbage Bag Gala is the brainchild of Fox Chapel native and Greater Pittsburgh Salvation Army Advisory Board Member, Pamela Abdalla. "For the past eight years, the Allegheny County Garbage Bag Gala has been such a huge success that we decided to bring the fun to Greensburg," said Melissa Dunlap, The Salvation Army's Westmoreland County Resource Development Manager. "This event is a great girls' night out and provides valuable support to the efforts of The Salvation Army in Westmoreland County."
Most designers have already made something special out of inexpensive materials. With the strong campaign for saving the environment, a lot of them responded to it in their own special way. With such advocacy, the Garbage Bag Gala was launched.
Who says getting in style needs to be expensive? You do not really need designer clothes! You will soon find that shopping for designer shoes is a mere luxury that few of us can afford. Getting yourself a designer bag is impractical.
Garbage Bag Gala is slated for Friday, September 10th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Palace Theater in downtown Greensburg. Attendees are invited to come in formal attire made of garbage bags and instead donate the money they would have spent on a dress. The ticket price includes a red carpet entrance, hors d'oeuvres reception and an awards ceremony for the "Trashiest Dress," and much more. Tickets may be purchased at four different levels, including: Handi Level....$50.00 to $99.00; Glad Level.....$100.00 to $149.00; Hefty Level....$150.00 or more; and Flexi Level.....pay your age. Pre-registration is August 31st but monetary donations will be accepted at the door.
"We are grateful to a group of energetic and dedicated Westmoreland County women who have taken on this project," said Dunlap. Garbage Bag Gala committee members include: Marilyn Fox; Angela O'Brien; Christine Rizk-Orosz; Maryanne Stairs; and Marjorie Stanislaw.
